golfing lessons
Mrs. Duck asked:

My husband has golfed on and off for a few years, and is still very much a beginner. I would like to purchase him lessons for our anniversary. A 50 minute session with a PGA qualified instructor is $65. A set of 5 lessons is $260. They also have a package that is $130, where you play 9 holes with the instructor (but it doesn’t specify whether or not this is private or with a group.) Which package would you prefer?

I’m thinking of doing the 5 package deal or a combination, maybe one 50 minute private lesson and then the 9-hole deal. I would like to do two 50 minutes and the 9-hole deal, but I can’t afford it.

Is it worth it to do just one 50 minute private lesson if the 9-hole lesson isn’t private?

Thanks!

I play golf and I play regularly. My handicap is 15 but off the tee box I almost always slice the ball almost 30 yards from where I intended. I take nice, smooth swings but I think it’s my setup.

golf swing practicing
Mike S asked:

Let me start by saying I usually shoot in the low 90’s high 80’s so I’m by no means a good golfer. But recently, my swing has gone down the tubes. As I start my back swing everything feels uncomfortable and when I get to the top, I have this feeling that I need to adjust my grip or I’m not going to hit the golf ball. This feeling only occurs when I’m standing over the ball. My practice swings still feel rather fluid. So, is this a mental thing I’m going through or does the feeling I’m describing sound like anything anyone has ever heard before? I mean, I know that when I’m swinging I must be making some kind of flaw, but what could it be based on how my grip feels at the top? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Kaytee asked:

I am at a beginner’s level and am wondering whether is OK to continue with golf lessons while I am pregnant? Is it OK to practice at a driving range? I am concerned that wide swings and twisting of the torso may have a negative impact on the fetus. What is generally suggested in this case?

I am going to start taking golf lessons soon, but one thing I am concerned with is whether to go to a facility that has a grass driving range, or one that only has turf. A friend of mine keeps telling me, you don’t play on turf, you shouldn’t practice on it. I agree, but golf lessons tend to be cheaper at places with turf only.

I have been having some trouble with my back lately after golf practice and I was wondering if that is normal. If it’s not is there anyway to correct my swing to avoid this problem thanks .

I have a very strong good swing and I don’t necessarily want to change it.

hole in one
qualitycountz2003 asked:

Ive had a million ear piericings for over 7 years, my first hole set being pierced for 10 years now. And i want to put 14 gauge plugs in that first set of holes, can i go to the 14 gauge right away considering the holes of already expanded themselves from being pierced for so long (theres been earrings in them non stop ever since they were pierced) OR do i have to get a 16 gauge set first? If anyone knows the gauge of an average earring like the ones in my ears right now i would be curious to know that as well. Thanks.
