golf lessons
DL400 asked:

Would it be better to start lessons in Sept and most likely stop by Oct due to weather (live in Colorado)? Or would it be better to start golf lessons say next april-may? This would be for a brand new golfer (my wife).

I have a soundcard with only one input digital hole. RCA cable of a sound device I want to connect to my soundcard has two male outputs, one red (right) and one white (left). Can I connect that sound device using only one of those outputs since my soundcard has only one female input?

Since I have no idea who hit the ball, can I sue the golf course? I’m assuming it’s going to be hard to win since I really have no proof except that I was driving by there. They can probably say the dent was there beforehand. It’s kind of a huge dent and it looks ugly.

Jim asked:

I have just started to play golf around 6 months ago, and am absolutely in love with the game. I am 38 years old, in good shape, and really just want to learn a good golf swing technique that will show me the proper way to swing a golf club. Any ideas for a good golf swing technique?

golf swing lesson
J-Peso asked:

I’ve gotten lessons and tips from friends and random golfers at the driving range and they all say the same thing, try to keep your left arm straight and bring it back as far as you can. Well, I can bring it back pretty far, far enough to have the club almost parallel to the ground, but I have to slightly bend my left elbow. I can also keep my left arm totally straight, but I would only get up to a half backswing, with full torso/hip rotation. I’m new to the game of golf and I want to learn the textbook body mechanics of the swing and still be comfortable/balanced. I feel that when I swing comfortably, it’s not textbook. When I swing textbook, it’s not comfortable. Any advice/tips would help a lot. Thanks.

I don’t really know how to golf. So I need a quick rundown, including lingo, rules. I know it’s hard to teach how to golf, but something simple so I don’t make a fool out of myself.
I am 5′9″ and weight is 180lbs, so I am larger what should I wear to golf and not look so big?
Thanks!

golf swinging
cnrage asked:

I’m fairly new to golf. I’ve had some lessons and the instructor says that I actually have a good swing. However, I always seem to get a chunk of the grass (or mat at the driving range). This actually hurts when I do it. I’m not sure what I’m doing. When I actually hit the ball, I hit it well but it seems like the ground is taking a ton of power out of my swing. Are there any simple things that I can do to help with this?

been reading about the golf rules from USGA
http://www.usga.org/Rules.aspx?id=7788#show=7868

I didn’t find anything about a specific numbers of practice swings before striking a ball. Can anyone else find it?

I like to take at least 2 practice swings at the tee and on the fairway.

Peter L asked:

i have a problem with a slight slice…i think its because my arms are getting too far ahead (maybe my hips rotate too early)…but i also dont keep my head down consistently…if i do, will this keep my hips from opening too soon, then will keep my arms in sync with rest of my body?
