The leading edge of the club face should be parallel to see that halfway back swing plane at the top of the back swing the right or left of.

This helped me a lot. I don’t get much of a chance to practice after my son was born.
I roll up a piece of bath tissue to make a small ball out of it (slightly smaller than a golf ball). I then practice hitting it with my 7 iron in the living room. The tissue ball doesn’t hurt any furniture and it’s smaller than a golf ball so you tend to improve your ball striking.
I also check my swing points in a mirror to ensure that my swing plane is correct.
These things have really helped me bring my handicap down. I now regularly break 80 and have a handicap of 7… and all without any practice on the range.
Oh yeah… do 3 sets of 20 pushups every night. If you can’t do as many, that’s okay! Just start with as many as you can and you will progress slowly to doing 20 reps at some point… it may take as many as 3-4months… but you will get there… I promise. This will increase your strength and get you hitting the ball much longer.

Make sure your practice counts. Don’t just hit balls and not think about what you are doing, you need to think about everything you do.
