JirafaBo asked:

I’ve seen a couple of driving ranges that you hit your balls into a big man made lake with a few island “greens” in them. It makes me wonder how they get the balls out to reuse them. Also, how long does it take for a golf ball to get water-logged?

My friend who was once a club pro says they hire scuba divers and I think that’s a little too much work. They gotta have some kinda machine. Also, I was thinking, they probably have concrete bottoms to make it easier too. Maybe even a slanted bottom so all the balls roll to one spot….

Anybody know FOR SURE?
If it is something they do only every “so many” days or weeks, how long can you leave them in the drink before collecting them all/?

The reno hilton uses special balls that have been to in reno nv outside of course and big trawling net that float they are not regulation balls of the reno nv outside of course and do not travel as far but they have been to in.
The only one that float they run just like landbased range.

The course play onevery year they use weighted nets.
For balls they hire company to come out and virtually dredge the lake for balls they use weighted nets.
