Ryan asked:
I have a large hole in the bottom of one shoe of one pair of my dress shoes. The leather bottom is worn out for about an inch in circumference, and the secondary insulation layer also is worn away, with only one layer left.

Is there any way I can repair this shoe? Might it be better for me just to spend another $120 for a new shoe?
Do cobblers still exist?

Of course if you have good uppers, there is no reason to toss them out. Go see a shoe repair shop.
Take them to a shoe repair shop and see if they can fix it and how much it will cost. They should be able to do it and it will be cheaper than buying new shoes.
The place you bought it just to the place you might want to the place.
