RCA cable connecting on one digital input hole?

I have a soundcard with only one input digital hole. RCA cable of a sound device I want to connect to my soundcard has two male outputs, one red (right) and one white (left). Can I connect that sound device using only one of those outputs since my soundcard has only one female input?

      what you need is a digital coaxial cable.
