When it comes to golf lessons, which of the following would be best gift?

golfing lessons
Mrs. Duck asked:

My husband has golfed on and off for a few years, and is still very much a beginner. I would like to purchase him lessons for our anniversary. A 50 minute session with a PGA qualified instructor is $65. A set of 5 lessons is $260. They also have a package that is $130, where you play 9 holes with the instructor (but it doesn’t specify whether or not this is private or with a group.) Which package would you prefer?

I’m thinking of doing the 5 package deal or a combination, maybe one 50 minute private lesson and then the 9-hole deal. I would like to do two 50 minutes and the 9-hole deal, but I can’t afford it.

Is it worth it to do just one 50 minute private lesson if the 9-hole lesson isn’t private?

Thanks!

Tough call, but I think he’d get more mileage out of the 5 lesson deal.

if he is serious about getting better and is going to put in range/practice time go w/ the 5 lesson package.
The 9 hole on-course will only benefit him if he is a ‘player’ already and needs to work on course management.
